This is a one of a kind historic pool located in Coral Gables. It was opened in 1924 as the Venetian Casino. As George Merrick mined the the coral rock he used to build the Mediterranean influenced city of Coral Gables the four acre quarry he mined became the Venetian pool. This is the only pool that is on the National Register of Historic Places.
